It’s been a big past couple of months, not only for baby time. I have been working on a project to make my life easier and give me the ability to keep on top of my websites while on the move.

So I sat down and wrote Android HTML Editor. It is a mobile app that allows you to connect to your server, open a file and edit it. There are a host of features to prettify it, but its the main functionality that I love.

The ability to CHMOD files and folders for one is a huge help.

This year is going way to fast right now. Soon I will be releasing an Android App that I have been working on. It should be a nice tool for web developers on the go, but more on that next post.

The house has been busy with cleaning, and for the first time the baby room looks like a baby room.

It’s cool to think that in a letting less than 12 weeks there will be a tiny person living in here :)

It’s 2012 and the end of last year brought the news of a baby coming to town for Mel and I. Happy days!

It’s been 5ish months now and I haven’t not done ANYTHING remotely cool with code since we found out. I’ve been totally preoccupied with babies, appointments and the unknown! But now that we have had the confirming 20 week scan and all is good, I’m set to get cracking on some projects.

Oh, and its a BOY! Woot!

 

Next post I might sum up what I’m gong to be working, but for now here is some baby stuff :)

Well it has been an interesting last 3 months riding the roller-coaster that is life.

Mel and I have been busy, me with work and her with her web development study. So among all the chaos of project deadlines and assignment due dates we thought “hell, why not make it a little more interesting”.

 

So I give you this, our combined latest project.

Current state is 13 weeks and growing. Codename Cartman, because its a stubborn baby.

Web Development

I have been working in the web design industry for the last 10 years. In this time I have worked for many companies from online gambling to realestate and now traditional marketing and online. I prefer to use PHP and a solid LAMP setup for all my websites. For a desktop setup I use Ubuntu Linux.

 

 

 

 

Android Development

In the last year I have been getting into a lot of Android development. I find that Java has a very similar structure to PHP so that has helped a lot. So far so good, it has been a great learning experience and Java has forced me to become a better coder. PHP is a lot more forgiving.
